Dustin Montierth is a visual effects artist working in the film and entertainment industry. His passion for filmmaking started from a very young age, where he was inspired by Disney classics such as Aladdin and post-apocalyptic, cyberpunk features such as The Matrix. He has over 5 years of professional industry experience, and is known for his diverse skillset in both production and post-production.
Dustin is fluent in Maya, Zbrush, The Adobe CC Suite, and Cinema 4D, and has proficiencies in several other programs. He has a background in Creature Design, Compositing, Motion Graphics, and Animation. He took classes at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects, where he learned cutting edge techniques from industry leaders in all disciplines pertaining to visual effects including, Creature Design, Compositing, Digital Painting, and Modeling. He is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Boise State University.
Dustin is also an experienced member of the camera department, having worked as a Digital Imaging Technician, Assistant Camera, as well as a Camera Operator in productions all throughout Idaho. His work has gone on to win many awards, such as several Telly Awards, a Rocky Award, as well as recognition from CGSociety as Editor’s Choice. He enjoys creating memorable pieces of art and animation, and strives everyday to become better at his discipline.
